Lubugo Tours
Lubugo Tours is the tourism and cultural experience arm of IGC. While we also offer traditional tours (safaris, adventure sports, and heritage travel), our signature experiences are our creative, community-based trips. Lubugo Tours is East Africa’s first and only tour company dedicated to sustainable fashion and arts tourism.
With over a decade of experience in East Africa’s sustainable fashion scene, IGC has led Fashion Cypher sessions, hosted six editions of the largest sustainable fashion event in Uganda: Kwetu Kwanza, launched a fashion residency programme, and curated fashion at landmark events like British Council Creative Economy Week and the Pearl of Africa Tourism Expo. Recognised as a leader in the industry, IGC created Lubugo Tours to connect the dots between the region’s vast network of designers, artists, and cultural changemakers.
Through immersive, community-led experiences, Lubugo Tours opens up East Africa’s dispersed but dynamic creative landscape to visitors. Whether you're a fashion professional, a researcher, or a curious traveller, Lubugo Tours offers the only insider route into Uganda’s growing sustainable fashion and cultural renaissance.
IGC (Ibrahim and Godfrey’s Community Fashion) is a Ugandan social enterprise redefining fashion through community, culture, and climate action. We create garments using 99% local, natural or upcycled materials, combining ancient techniques like barkcloth with modern design. Our collections have been featured in shows and exhibitions across the worldwide, including London Fashion Week and New York. Our mission is to use fashion as a tool for environmental and social justice, and Lubugo Tours is an extension of this mission - inviting the world to see what a circular, community-rooted fashion system looks like.
